Description
The medieval tower on a square plan was built under the initiative of the Lords of Bard in the XI century. In 1242, the valley dominion passed into the hands of the Savoia family that restored the tower in 1320, after the damages of nine years before because of the attritions between the inhabitants of Champorcher and Valsoana. During the restoration the building had been enriched with dove-tailed merlons and surrounded by a boundary wall of which is remained a ruin on the right of the war memorial. In the XII and XIV centu¬ry the tower was used as place of sighting to be progressively abandoned in the following centuries.
