Description
The parish church is situated near the tower and was probably the chapel of the castle. Firstly it was restored in 1532 and later rebuilt and widened by the master builder Giovanni Ferro (Jean Fer) between 1728-1732. The splendid baroque altar, in painted and gilded wood, was realised by the artist Giovanni Battista Gilardi in 1741. The triumphal arc dates back to eighteenth century and is situated at the entry of the presbytery with the crucifix and the statues of Madonna and San Giovanni. The inside walls have been frescoed by the famous painters Artari of Verrès in 1895.
